What is homeopathy?
Dr. Burton: Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed by Dr. Samuel Harnomin in Germany. The principle of homeopathy is that "like will cure like". The system of homeopathy uses extremely small doses of substances to cure symptoms that were actually caused by the same substances given in larger doses. For example, if a substance given in large doses cause nausea and vomiting, then in very, very small doses, it will cause a cure of the same symptoms. This is thought to be nonsense by many scientists around the world. But, it has been proven thousands of times over the past 200 years that, in fact, it has been extremely useful in helping many medical conditions resolve. The beautiful thing about homeopathy is that the remedies are non-toxic at the levels given and, therefor, are safe for any age group.
